The reason why underage "sex-work" or even prostitution in general is associated with "abuse"/"exploitation" is BECAUSE it lacks a strong legal or decriminalized status. It lacks protection as a - v a l i d - form of work (Marxists would say that "sex-work" (whether "adult" or "youth") can never be valid in the first place because there's no "material" byproduct of the labor, but only immaterial pleasure).
An underage (or even "adult") "sex-worker", when they're "at work", KNOWS that the people who "purchase" their services can essentially do whatever they want to them (as long as they don't get caught) BECAUSE there is no (or not enough) regulations/protections (aside from like a Maddame or a Pimp checking on everything).
This is not a result of "society promoting abuse" or "C(r)apitalism (TM) exploiting people", but a result of the inability of people to come to terms with the valid agency of the "sex-worker" themselves. They are sidelined and stigmatized, and because they are sidelined and stigmatized they are exploited (just like, say illegal migrant laborers, for example).
Instead of people claiming to speak for "sex-workers", why don't people let them speak for themselves? We talk about "agency" allot here, but on this subject that agency gets thrown out of the window in favor of a puritanical, paternalistic "sex-work is bad in all cases and these "poor exploited workers" just have to accept my gaslighting of them!!!".
Stop feeding into this self-fulfilling prophecy.
1st picture is the (imo very outdated) Marxist critiques of "sex-work".
2nd picture is an elaboration on the argument that Marxism, as it is rooted in the past, is traditionalist and itself Patriarchial/Paternalistic. Indeed, the AI even references RadFems siding with the Marxist perspective, which I found interesting but not entirely surprising (seeing as RadFems generally side with traditionalists, whether "left" or "right").
Every so often I come to realize that many of the younger generation may not have seen the following video on the importance of not talking to police:

It is 46 minutes long, and it is perhaps one of the most important PSAs to listen to if you plan on never spending a day in prison. You should watch it even if you never plan on committing any crimes. Especially if you plan on not committing any crimes. If you live in the United States or any country that has an equivalent to the fifth amendment right against self-incrimination, this is mandatory viewing.

When I was little I would try so hard until I got hit with learned helplessness due to abuse. I still need someone who loves me to watch out for me because sometimes I...just can't keep it together and I stare of into space, I forget what day it is...I have no purpose, that's where I wish I had a gf/bf to give me suggestions, to be like, "Hey, Jazzy, I see that thousand yard stare, you ok babe?" and then I'll snap out of it and be like "Yea, yea I'm ok now, you pulled me back...*gets genuinely cheerful, due to gratitude* hey how about I make some dinner for us?" 🥺🥺🥺🥺
