They just assume they can land on anything, they have no concept of the difference between metal and wood, they naturally would assume everything is safe to land on. Also fuck wind turbines. Killing bats and birds. Not fair, disgusting.
It should be law that all metal fences in cold areas have to have something on them to stop heat transfer so when the little birdies land on it their feets don't get stuck, there is nothing in nature that transfers heat like that so the birds are defenseless instinctually, it's not good.
I love beautiful architecture but I don't know much about it technically, I don't know the definitions of terms used, like I have an idea about what victorian means, and brutalist, and deco, but if I was asked what makes these things what they are I would be very vague in my description

i wish the anti-contact crowd understood that their end goal can only be achieving the same lukewarm wariness that celibate gay Christians found in the church.
the reason gay people are celebrated everywhere now is because they successfully changed public opinion on their sexual relationships. for years beforehand gays in the church tried to do what anti-contact/non-offending maps are doing now: we're all human, fantasy is not reality, desires are neutral, etc. and it never got them anywhere. being a celibate gay in the church is not a free, successful, healthy life. the only gays who are happy in the church are the ones who can get married and have sex.
it's only when we stop saying that sex with kids is harmful that we'll ever get anywhere.
