People that fear seeing themselves as animals are often prey to dealing ineffectively with the fact that they ARE animals, so the animal parts of their nature are mismanaged and neglected.
By embracing our animal nature, we are taking responsibility for that aspect of our nature, so it can coexist in peace with the rest of us.
For some, it can be scary, but once you have dealt with it, you feel more at peace with yourself.

Ao3 (a popular anti-censorship writing site, known for carrying taboo fanfics) is currently experiencing a significant DDoS attack. The group claiming responsibility says they're doing it because "the site is full of disgusting smuts and other LGBTQ+ and NSFW things"

As freaks and degenerates, we need to stand up for others like us when they're under attack (even when they wouldn't do the same for us).
