I get to see the earliest days of what will become a space faring civilization. We know it, we can feel it, we make games and tell stories about it endlessly, it is the new western frontier. First the near bodies, moon, mars, eventually titan and other moons. Atmospheric skimners on the gas giants would provide virtually endless fuel for our now endlessly expanding civilization. Minecraft irl. Groups will be changed by multitudes of generations on a new planet with new gravity. Not much at first, and so our species will enjoy an uncanny twilight era, with many humanoid races with a common ancestor but who now look as different as all our breeds of dogs do. Eventually some, and then all, would diverge, and we would become so different and so distant that we're not the same anymore at all. And aliens? Maybe they're out there, and maybe they're so different that they don't even have the concept of taking in, of eating, and without such a compulsion as eating, they would have no reason to hoard or war for goods, they would have no need to compete, they would grow, amongst each other, and around each other, some bigger, some smaller, and they would be unbothered by it, like crystals.
I'm playing doom eternal and I'm pleasantly surprised at how racist it is. It's not like gears of war where the invading foreigners are akshually the victimZzzzzzz. I like that these disgusting raping foreign hordes aren't givin some humanity, rip and tear, fuck nuance or shades of grey, rip and tear, that's how wars are won! (inb4 someone says it's akshually not racist and that I'm the racist for viewing demonic monsters as metaphors for non European/Western minorities. They definitely are and I'm not the only one who notices.)
