What is the best free movie-editing tool in your opinion?

Please, I need to know.

@realcaseyrollins @LukeAlmighty I used to use Shotcut. I switched to Blender. Shotcut slows down to a crawl once you have many cuts selected and you try to shift them.

I love blender and tried using it, but the problem is, that when exporting video, it seems to I am rendering in way too slowly. (most likely bad settings on my part)

@LukeAlmighty @realcaseyrollins Yes, you probably used encoding settings that are too taxing. There is a trade-off between encoding speed and compression that you can set. Also, some codecs are faster to encode than others. That includes audio codecs. Also, some newer audio codecs, like opus, are not well accepted by some video sites (after uploading the video you'll be waiting until infinity for the video to process).

My preference for now is webm/vp9 + ogg.

Free in what meaning of the word? I use DaVinci Resolve and they have a free version
