Growing up, did you ever get that sense of satisfaction of working with people you know to improve your community? I did. While there are negatives, the "mandatory" exposure to this is one of the more positive aspects of being raised Mormon.

Having bothered with all that in the past, I found the experience of just paying like $120 to pound a Japanese prostitute that was probably a decent bit nicer looking than my best self could land for a short while was more gratifying and left me less "empty" than common cultural portrayals of using prostitutes had me expecting.
