Would you trust a detective or an AI to determine your Innocence during an interigation?
@Jens_Rasmussen
> AI is impartial and neutral
I did not want to write that into the question. Actually the exact opposite, since you have no idea what data was it trained on, and who categorized them to "innocent" and "guilty".
@Jens_Rasmussen
And as autist, the idea of someone misreading my emotions scares me to death.
Well, and detective can understand the concept.... theoretically. But I cannot tell it to the AI.
@Jens_Rasmussen
@dave
But also, I am watching the interrigation videos now, and it's scary. These people are being stressed the shit out for 4 hours straight.
Who wouldn't break under such conditions?
@LukeAlmighty
Are we talking today's AI, or very futuristic AI? Cause AI has the potential to be unbiased, which could be a big benefit in such situations.
@alyx
I mean you were arrested today, and got this offer :D
@LukeAlmighty
For today, we don't have AI good enough, so it would have to be the detective.
@alyx
And you're obviously innocent
@LukeAlmighty
Sure, but we've seen over and over again that a biased detective or prosecutor can absolutely make up evidence to convict you, if that's where their bias leans to.
@alyx
I know... That's the point of the poll ![]()
@LukeAlmighty
My answer would depend on how mature the AI is. If it were future AI, I'd pick it, but with current tech, if someone were to ask it if I were innocent, it would probably answer that I'm cheese.
I'll vote AI, because it's implicit in the question that the AI is impartial and neutral, but an AI actually used for that purpose would be made to have the same biases as a detective.
