I do think the word has more going for it than "racism" (throw that shit right in the trash, we don't need a smear word for perfectly natural and healthy in-group preference) or "cisgender", and I like having another word for sex that isn't so easily confused with the act of fucking, but that's really its only legitimate role. If sex and gender aren't completely interchangeable, "gender" belongs in the trash along with retarded garbage like "homophobia" and "transmisogyny".

In the context of "abolish gender" i was referring to abolishing the concept of mental "gender". I didn't elaborate on in the initial post and it became a semantics debate. It's crazy when you come across posts from before 2014 related to a tumblr-moment observed in the wild. So many people seem to sound semi normal regarding them back then. They saw what was going on, realized these are fringe people, but also the consequences of them getting their ways. The comical problem is that they didn't do anything to stop them. They just sort of assumed that they would stay fringe or would be stopped... somehow. Sort of like a man with an auto immune disease not bothering to ever wash his hands.

People are irrational, the best argument rarely wins them over as a group, and they'll easily go along with the stupidest things imaginable if it helps them avoid getting into trouble.

Gender is a linguistic concept for languages like German and Spanish. It was always obvious bullshit when they started trying to use it to differentiate from biological reality. We should have been burning them at the stake the second they tried it

That's all highly personal and should be an outward presenting thing, not a 'oh please acknowledge what i believe myself to be' sort of thing. That's a losing proposition and it's the biggest disservice modern psychology has made and it has failed everyone into mollycoddling over-sensitive people instead of placing importance on self-belief and sufficiency.

Which brings me to another point, and an inconvenient truth and that is the need for outside validation means that the person does not believe in their own self image enough themselves. If you tell an actual woman or man that they're not a woman or man, they'll just laugh you off, but because the response is to cry and behave that the world has just ended shows there's a schism and incongruency in ones own self image and instead of putting the onus on themselves, they're demanding others and society fix it, which is impossible, and insane.
