Sometimes, I wonder, what the fuck is so complicated about Star Wars, that most people cannot understand it...

Dark side always bad
Grey jedi are not possible
Every force sensitive's mental state is affecting the existence itself
Free dark side entities must be eradicated

What is so fucking difficult about this?

So a person who happens to be force sensitive and not taken in by the Jedi cult is a "free dark side entity"?

@Jens_Rasmussen
> Every force sensitive's mental state is affecting the existence itself

It's not too hard to understand .D

But is that enough to be labeled a "dark side entity"?
If so, then the true rebellion is that of the dark side against the tyrranical Jedi council.

@Jens_Rasmussen
Oh wow. Being a force sensitive comes with insane responsibility, unless you want to posion the life around you.

What kind of a tyranical cult would try to stop people from posioning the life itself? They must be evil...

@LukeAlmighty I think that sometimes when people say "Grey Jedi" they don't actually mean they are a Jedi, just a force-user who is not affiliated with the Sith or the Jedi. A lot of people do point to Mace Windu as being a "Grey Jedi" though or at least relatively close to one. Anakin was also a Jedi for a while even though he was also not quite a "Jedi."

I wouldn't say that the Dark Side is bad necessarily, because there are force users that use Dark Side techniques like Force Lightning that aren't necessarily evil, right? Or is that stuff no longer canon after the Disney takeover?

But I'm not super familiar with intense Star Wars lore, mostly just things I've picked up from osmosis lol. I know a lot of it is also not super well thought out and made up by lots of other people outside of Lucas so it makes it hard to discern what's canon that shouldn't be canon and what's not canon that should be canon.

@beardalaxy
Yes, gray jedi has at least 3 definitions :D
1) A jedi that left the order, but is still a jedi
2) A jedi, that slightly touches dark side techniques
3) a ducking Ying yang jo jo, that balances to be cancerous to the existence "just right" to not become insane.

It's like saying, that you're not a drug addict, since you're taking heroin just once a month, and you can stop whenever you want.

> I wouldn't say that the Dark Side is bad necessarily

Yes, it is. It is literally a cancer to the life itself. It must never be allowed, and the problem all force sensitive people have is, that they are truly cut from the possibility of not controling themselves, since the consequences are wide reaching.

The force itself is the God. And while the light side is accepting it's will, allowing you to become the wessel that allows the life to be channeled through you, the dark side is based on selfish abuse of this connection. There is nothing good about it.

> because there are force users that use Dark Side techniques like Force Lightning that aren't necessarily evil, right?

Yeah, keep series running long enough, and it will always come up woth exceptions to exceptions just to make some fan fic a reality. :akko_sad:

@Jens_Rasmussen @beardalaxy
If you're willing to ignore literally all of the deep lore, then sure. It's a movie about space wizzards for childern.

But in that case, we are not talking about the same series.

@LukeAlmighty i mean, to be fair, if you're managing to only do heroin once a month you're probably not addicted to it lol. you're just a little retarded xD

@LukeAlmighty If we are going by expanded universe rules(let's completely ignore Disney bullshit), then the original "Jedi" were "Grey Jedi" in practice. I am of course talking about the Je'daii Order who meditated on both sides of the Force to achieve balance, but were basically the same positive force in the galaxy as the subsequent Jedi Order.
@LukeAlmighty There is a mountain of a difference between the two subjects in question. Pun intended.
@LukeAlmighty Eh? Lots, Judge a tree by it's fruits, what does this 'Jedi' order actually do? Seems to be the primary action is to subvert order and progress and spread chaos, a sort of accelerated entropy, or decay, cloaked in the garb of 'doing good' , without a reference point. Not to say the Empire is anymore a force of 'good', but aside from dealing with resistance, they do seem to create prosperous worlds where people get fed instead of blown up for being associated with terrorists. Just, from a meta perspective, the Jedi come off very much like Wahhabism, this hugely destructive force claiming to do good while blowing things up and backed by a mystical/holy purpose.
