@LukeAlmighty some are really that retarded. Almost everyone has a credit card for fuel that they don't think of as a credit card (to be fair, many of these do not begin charging interest if the balance is paid off in a given time period.) Then there are those of us who refuse all such credit scams because we're not fucking retards.
@jeremiah Well, it obviously works, so not the companies. But In here, a lot of people out outright avoiding Tesco for going too hard on it's sale card. And that one doesn't even offer loans. It just unlocks sales by itself.
@LukeAlmighty most groceries here have those, called "loyalty programs" or "savings cards". They're a physical version of a browser cookie to track purchasing.
I believe that with facial recognition technology, we'll see these go away.

Of course, in case of Tesco, the sale means 4 times the base price, but with 70% sale on their card.
