One day, I will take a pen, paper and start calculating just how much of my life was stolen by the state.
And I know, that once I see that number, I will never wake up the next day.
@LukeAlmighty Are you referring to conventional taxes only? Or also more abstract things that are harder to measure?

The idea came, because there are talks being made about mandatory military service in here. And when I wanted to explain to someone about losing an year of my life to state mandated bullying, I also remembered the 20 years of school.
After that, taxes obviously came to mind........ As I said, if I ever calculate it, I will in fact go collect it all back with interest from someone.
@LukeAlmighty Our mandatory military service (Which is not really mandatory at all) will be extended to also cover women next year. Very cringe.
I do believe that some military service can be good for most men, assuming there is no abuse and such of course.
Learning some basic first aid, how to handle a firearm and getting some basic fitness at least at one point in life are all good.
