Srriously. When I saw the explanations of Elden ring story, I was at a point, where even though I understood the words, I was wondering if there was even a slightest mathematical chance, that yhey were in fact correct about anything. How do we know it wasn't just a word salad in the first place?
And now, after I finished the death stranding, I am just afraid to look into it.

@LukeAlmighty Souls games stories are meant to be something you piece together gradually over multiple playthroughs (which you do for the sake of gameplay mostly, the story unraveling is a bonus), if you just play the game once or try to take it all in through youtube videos and writeups it's very hard to digest. Especially Elden Ring, mostly Elden Ring. And there's a bunch of stuff that's meant to be ambiguous.
But there's certainly tons of story, not just disparate bits of lore but broad character arcs and themes, so anyone who says there isn't any is coping with the fact that they bounced off of it - or they're retarded. And really it's not super important that you form a firm understanding of anywhere near all of the plot threads.

No it's real simple. Gwyn is a mad god who tries to purge the world by incinerating it all with the first flame so you have to stop him and save the world and then you travel to Drangleic and get wrapped up in the evil schemes of the Scholar of the First Sin and the evil queen who turned the king into a zombie and then you travel back to the first land for the end of the trilogy only to find out you were carrying the Dark Soul you were looking for all series all along the WHOLE TIME and for some reason you have to fight homosexuality
@DrRyanSkelton @LukeAlmighty And Queen Marika is a lady who is trapped in a tree. You have to kill her ex boyfriends and marry her to fix the world. Incidentally she looks like this
