I am really starting to think, that 95% of the pedophilia debate was caused and is propagated by the holywood constantly mis-casting people.

The first picure is "TEENAGE" Dexter.
Women in the movie Grease were played by 30year olds etc...

And think about it... how often does an adult who stopped dating actually interact with kids enough to know their ages? I don't even ask most people around me. But, in TV shows, the fake age is always an important part.

So, if you see that 30yo woman and think that's unironically what a 17yo looks like, your opinion on the topic will be just random screeching.

It's just another result of the atomization of society. Sad really.

@LukeAlmighty this is nothing more than the loli debate getting stale, and the outrage mob trying to create something similar to latch on to. Kill everyone on xitter and bluesky, and the issue ceases to exist

@LukeAlmighty i think this could be part of the problem, but i think it might be porn. women in their late 20s pretending to be 18 for years. comically large breasts and asses. etc.

@beardalaxy
Most women in porn aren't in their late 20s though....

They are in their late 20s, 20th dose of meth and a 2nd decade into an SSRI subscription. :omegalul:

@LukeAlmighty it is so rare that it actually feels weird and uncomfortable when you see a movie that casts real teenagers for a teenager role because they do look so young. but I prefer to not question my own expectations even when they are clearly being set by a multibillion dollar mass media industry

@sun
I do question them lately a lot, because they are in fact ruining my life.

Serious question:
How can you ecpect to ever be a good father, when the only association between an old man youching a young kid is pedophilia? I do not want that thought to ever cross my mind, when taking care of my kids. I had one "absent" working parent, and the 2nd one hated my existence. I want to never hesitate to support my kids.

And that realization, that the thought exists in there shook me to my core. If I have one fight I realized I need to tackle next, it is the fight against expectations, that will stop me from acting moral.

@LukeAlmighty I recall seeing a film from 1995 called Kids (that I quit around halfway because I didn't like it). Most of the main cast were actual teens, and Rosario Dawson was in it. She's 16 around that time or release. The film was raunchy, and involved sex and STDs. There was at least some skateboarding. This film was released as unrated over an NC-17 rating thanks to Bob and Harvey Weinstein.
