I have no idea why, but it seems to me that genuine problem solving is a concept, that most boomers never actually heard of.
It's almost insulting, that whenever I try to describe some random problem to my mom, she immediatelly replies with "that's just how things are"... Wow... whst a deep thought.

That might be the difference.
You can live with insomnia prety well. I learned to cope with it, never knowing how much energy am I going to have next morning.

So it doesn't bother me to not solve it with that doctor. I'll just play dumb to get rid of him, since If he thinks I haven't tried not drinking coffee, I seriously don't trust him with anything more radical he might think of.

me: Damn, you are right. I have spend decades suffering from this, and tried anything I could think of, but the one piece of advice that every retard asks forst, I have never tried that. Not even 10 years before I drank my first coffe.
