Also, I tried taking the survey.
In first question, they ask about "the autistic community". Since I am not a retarded commie, I don't care about them.

They refused to let me anwser the 2nd question, since supposedly, I am not autistic enough for them.

If I never see Gartner mentioned ever again in my life, I am going to feel 30 percent safer right there.

US Ambassador in Moscow :

>I have visited many countries, talked with different leaders, but only next to Putin did I feel uncomfortable. It felt like I wasn't in charge here, but he was. Never experienced this before. Very unpleasant

Point of these is to laugh at a changed quantity of objects in the picture.

Although, a and a' are a different symbol, so obviously, there is no reason to believe, that there is a multiplication relationship between them.

If 1 is a horseshoe, then symbol with two horseshoes would look like 11. Is 11 double the value of 1?

I don't think I have seen a single reasonable take from mstdn.social.

They cannot be humans. I refuse to believe that it isn't an AI instance

@mario @Awoo
Yes, it is a convention, in the same way as 2 is by convention a symbol double of value from 1.

We could use a different symbols, but these ones do go with the assumed meaning.

@Awoo
That is what I call a "castling" problem.
Chess has a defined moveset for all figures. You can move one piece at a time, and the game is clear for everyone. Yet, 900 years ago, an asshole pulled a move out of his ass to win a game, and claimed, that it's a "traditional move that everyone knows about".

So, since then, there are still people who actually learn the move just because they are too scared to state the obvious.

@Awoo
6÷2*3=
In case you want to argue about the order of operations in division, you can also convert this line to a form of pure multiplications
6*0.5*3 = 3*3 = 9.

Are you happy now?

@Awoo
No. It's 9.
Of course it's 9. This is a primary school excersise.

6÷2(1+2)=
6÷2*(1+2)=
6÷2*3=
3*3=9

The problem is, that boomers do forget the "official notation" after a few decades, since they don't need it.
