It works on people, who are easily influenced by peer pressure, because you have all of the important factors to them.
1) percieved authority (teacher) giving them the right opinion and sometimes shaming the wrong anwser
2) collective, that isn't fighting back obvious injustices.

Although, it does seem to build serious resentment and character in anyone who was suppressed.

Nature made humans ducerse in this way, because no matter what decision the society is making, tbe oposite must be present. If society is wrong, the dissidents will survive. Othervise, the society will. But either way, you cannot kill off everyone on one bad decision that way.

Congratulation....
How hard did you have to squint at the monitor?

It was a bitch to find anything on this topic, and now I know why:

Political orientations, intelligence and education/ INTELLIGENCE Vol. 40, No.2/ Pages 217-225/ Heiner Rindermann, Carmen Flores-Mendoza, Michael A. Woodley

Individuals preferring a center-right political orientation have the highest mean IQ (105.29). The second highest mean IQ is found amongst those of a centrist political orientation (102.53). This is followed by those preferring a center-left orientation, who possess an IQ mean of 100.67

But the lowest IQ mean is found amongst those having no political preference at all (IQ 93.85).

TL;DR: center-right > centrist > center-left > none in terms of IQ

Ability to immagine possible scenarios and rate them on probability and seriousness is obviously such a low IQ trait.

They really dragged this topic through the mud: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory
"Some researchers suggest that conspiracist ideation—belief in conspiracy theories—may be psychologically harmful or pathological[14][15] and that it is correlated with lower analytical thinking, low intelligence, psychological projection, paranoia, and Machiavellianism.[16] Psychologists usually attribute belief in conspiracy theories and finding a conspiracy where there is none to a number of psychopathological conditions such as paranoia, schizotypy, narcissism, and insecure attachment,[9]"

Versus the pre-clown'd version in 2015: https://web.archive.org/web/20150216150053/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory

This is a fun practice to look up wikipedia articles before the world went insane so you can realize it was just one massive shift from deranged individuals
