Yeah, there was no way I would work a job, that I hate. But whenever I tell that to people, they look at me like I'm crazy.

I remember telling people to quit their job, and everyone around screaming at me, how it's not possible. It took me a while to realize, that I really am the exception to the rule :D

Well, it is SLOWLY starting to get pushed, but we're at about 5 percent power.

We still don't have legalized gay marriges. (Well, they can live together, but it isn't the same legal entity.)

That movie does not suck.
The big gaslight at the end does not invalidate the movie, it frames it in current societal norms.

It is like all the youtube videos where people commit crimes followed by "It's just a prank bruh. It's just a prank."

The point of the movie was to point to the things wrong in the society. It even managed to point to the root cause. (destruction of family)

It just could not do it without the "It's just a prank bro" reframe at the end. Because that would cross the line. And noone is prepared to hear the truth outside of that frame.

Well, It is an ethno state, so it is much better then moat of the world

Right now, we have the worst government we had in decades though, and we're right before a man made recession and energy shortage, so.... I hope it will be ok.

I have just noticed, that it's strange, that noone talking about the movie ever mentioned, that the thing that moves the guy forward the entire movie is a woman who took the guys kids away and refuses to let him see them.

Because you know... that is so rare these days.

Not to mention, that I live in a city and have a cozy job, so I don't have much experience with abusive jobs.

When I was hired to do an abusive job, I quit 3 hours later

Also, I am an ambitious person, but it's seriously hard to get motivated to earn promotions, when you have no kid that you can work to improve their lives.
