i'm usually pretty quick to wake up. i can have my alarm go off and be more or less wide awake a couple minutes later. but i want to make damn sure i actually do wake up because every now and then, especially if i'm not in a rush to be anywhere, i'll just wake up to an alarm then turn it off and go right back to sleep.

there was one time i didn't have an alarm, told my friend to wake me up to drive me to work. he tried to wake me up but apparently i fell back asleep and so he just left without me and locked me in his house with the alarm on so i couldn't even leave.

Another good one was to put the alarm as far from bed as possible.
(I had to go down from stairs to turn it off, so that was working for a while, but it cannot be done everywhere.)
