I find it funny the whole reason mastodon doesn't show what servers you are blocking was because gargamel didn't want blocklists to essentially advertise for bad servers on good servers. Yet now masto admins aggressively demand to know who you block to make sure you meet their new standards and its all trust/word of mouth/trying to see if you can see gab from a smurf account one admin makes on another's server

What their doing just isn't sustainable lmao

"Pistols at dawn" was facetious, even you ought to have been able to tell. It was intended to demonstrate that your point was absurd. But I'll fight your hillbilly ass any time. Wouldn't be the first time a belligerent hick's words failed him; I did live in the South for a few years. Bareknuckle boxing, any time we're in the same region. Bring your own mouthguard, we'll see if we can get a pair of balls for you from an organ donor.

> Challenging people to duels on the internet dot com is cringe af

"When I rule this clown world", etc. LARPing as the king of they honkeys is dignified, I'm sure.

> a "right" that can be freely restricted by a government and not face a revolt is no right at all

You hop between "legal right" and "moral right" and you don't even appear to know you're doing it. You do this on purpose because you have never tried to argue straight or are you just need some sleep.

Against my better judgment, lemme take this stupid bait:

Even by your own definition of a "right", a definition no one else on earth uses, in which someone has to shoot someone else for a right to exist, people have shot people to maintain the republic, which safeguards these rights. The Revolutionary War was specifically for the right to self-governance, and what we do with that is what they died for. You've got to use an idiosyncratic definition of "right" to say the right doesn't exist, and you've also got to ignore anything one degree separated from the thing you're talking about. Saying that people have not fought and died to safeguard these rights is like saying somebody has not fed their family by working because a paycheck is not beef.

Next time there's a war with an existential threat, you feel free to survey the soldiers. Little checkboxes, sheet of paper on your clipboard, all "Are you willing to die in this war?" and "Which of these rights are you fighting to protect? Please check as many as apply."
