@l0wk3y @judgedread The Phantom Menace actually boasted a lot of memorable designs (the Naboo Starfighter, the battle droids etc), even if they weren't on the level of the iconic OT designs. Ep II and III also had some nice new ships, but a lot of the designs were just a mix of the stuff from TPM and the OT. That made sense, since those movies were bridging the gap between the two extremes. but it made for less unique and memorable toys.
I can barely remember a single interesting NEW design from the Disney movies. I guess there's this big-ass Super Saiyan Star Destroyer? And Kylo Ren's retarded lightsaber from the first movie. Otherwise, I'm drawing a blank.
And the new characters are of course shit, no need to even get into that. Buying your kid a Rose Tico action figure is borderline child abuse, and at the very least parental neglect.

@judgedread @ChristiJunior @ThreeOneThreeChris @l0wk3y Understandable. I like things that are generally unironically good but still have a good amount of camp and cheesiness. Xenoblade is a good example of this. The prequels wouldn't have worked as well for me if Palpatine didn't put a lot of unironically good material in there.
