@rice @grips I think there's an unfortunate phenomena occurring:

1) people not following the news in depth see 95% shallow provably false propaganda

2) the news space has become unbelievably toxic and stressful

3) people quite reasonably leave and stay out of the news space

4) they mostly see the propaganda and thus blue-pill into sleep.

5) they're okay with peacefully protesting for George Floyd, not knowing that they're providing cover for those who throw bricks, who wouldn't be able to do so without an innocent crowd surrounding them.

@grips the virtue signalling is like indulgences: a paymant to cancel out sins. In medieval times indulgences were used like paying for permission to commit a sin.

@karen mostly because giving extra 3% (or what precisely) of my salary to some jerk building their political carrier isn't very appealing
