Still disappointed "OnlyGrans.com" is taken
@matrix @LukeAlmighty They outsourced this remaster, which should've been a bad sign already, but Crytek invited Digital Foundry to their studio and let them play it with various settings and compare it live to the original version, so I had a really good feeling about this release. A shame.

I still want to play the Xbox 360 version on the Xbox One X someday, because I'm rather curious how it plays there. I know, I'm weird.

@LukeAlmighty
I only played it for 40 minutes, don't expect an essay.

I feel extremely disappointed, I haven't even tried the Can it run Crysis meme setting.
The remaster is based on the CryEngine 3 version for PS3 and Xbox 360, which don't feature multiplayer (I don't care about that) and the Ascension level. They haven't bothered to reimplement it so it's not in.
The game is buggy. First time I launch it, the mouse cursor stayed on. First thing I noticed is that you can't crouch while moving. Another thing is you can't jump in speed mode. The default suit mode is the simplified console mode from Crysis 2 and 3 and even if you set it to classic the screen effects stay.
It looks good and SVOGI is great, however the lighting has a much different tone, the same tone as the old ports and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

WHYY??? :pepeDread:

Now, everyone knows I aam poor, when I have to be begging publicly...

But please, DO NOT send me more. I am not a socialist. :angry_trump:

@LukeAlmighty The issue overall is still the dumbass AAA development

All in all, a solid art style will trump any dumb realism that will age like milk

Hell, how fast could they make a Sonic Adventure 2 (which still looks pretty great today) game with similar graphics, how fast could they make it today? *shrug*

But no, as with Sonic 06, they had to go the graphics route. Have you seen Eggman's gloves in the cutscenes? Did they spend an entire month making these goddamn gloves?
