Už se oficiálně píše o tom, že nové Dukovany nebudou. Už se taky píše o tom, že nikdo kromě Rusů a Číňanů je v podstatě nedokáže postavit.

V tomto ohledu je úžasné, že za ČSSR jsme měli kapacity nejen k tomu, postavit čtyři jaderné elektrárny, ale i je navrhnout. V jednom případě - v Jaslovských Bohunicích - jsme se dokonce pokusili o vlastní design reaktoru, který pracoval na neobohacený jáchymovský uran a umožňoval výměnu paliva za běhu. Sice se to moc nepovedlo a došlo tam k havárii, kvůli níž musel být celý blok odstaven, nicméně - byli bychom dnes vůbec schopni dělat vlastní design reaktoru?

Stále si pamatuju, jak po revoluci bylo lidem říkáno, že československý průmysl nemá žádnou hodnotu, že je nekonkurenceschopný, a proto je nutno, najít mu "strategického partnera". Ten partner ho pak buď potopil nebo pohltil. Evidentně to byly lži a nějakou hodnotu měl, když ho šlo navíc dobře prodat. A měl jistě i hodnotu ve smyslu know-how, kterého jsme se úplně vzdali.

Přijde mi to docela smutné. Dnes už se nezmůžeme na nic víc než na debaty okolo pomníku Koněva nebo zda nosit roušky uvnitř či ne.
