@RMIV @SamTherapy @indianafirst Well C++ is garbage, that’s for sure, but then again you don’t have to use templating (or the other junk they shoved into the language) if you don’t want to. You can just program like you’re using C, but with a tiny slice of C++ convenience features.

For a newer developer Rust is probably okay. I’ve never used it because I already know exactly what I want to do, and Rust just promises to get in my way. When you’re starting out Rust may actually enforce good habits. Or, it may be incredibly frustrating. I’m not really sure. At least there’s a big enthusiastic community around it.
