@LukeAlmighty I did something similar for my folks, bought them some extra stuff just in case. Besides thinking I was crazy, they basically made meals out of the bags & CANNED food I got for them within a few weeks. This is even when they have seen prices skyrocket & foods disappearing off shelves & from delivery orders due to supply chain B.S.

It's hard enough that I barely know how to prepare for the worse because no one bothered to teach me survival or preparation skills, & when I try looking after others, they don't make things any easier for me or themselves. :lain_sad:

My brother has the IQ way off the charts, and STILL, he doesn't get, that EMERGENCY FOOD doesn't mean "COOK DIRECTLY AND ONLY FROM THIS FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS"!!!

Fucking idiot.

@tfmonkey
You were right, expecting people to take care of themselves is useless, even IF you do the hard part for them.

2 years ago, I've bought emergency suplies for my grandmother. I told her many times, she should keep them in case, shit hit the fan...

She ate them in 2 weeks.
Way before the lockdowns got bad. WTF???

I hate humans.

I am already getting triggered by Ukrainian flag in bio/username. The worst shit takes come from those accounts.

One of the most annoying things to me about the rise in "nerd culture" is the insistence of neckbearded idiots that their preferences are the gold standard.

It feels so good when you see someone is browsing your timeline... :dance_cool_doge:
