I haven't ruled out it potentially being that my phone is defective (Pixel 5a). My phone has also been rebooting to apply updates which causes it to lock thus not being able to receive calls while I'm sleeping that are very important. There is also the chance that something is corrupt that is causing apps to misbehave.

I need to run Stock OEM Android to confirm whether or not the problems persist. If they don't then there is something specific to my installation. If they do, then either there is a problem with my handset or an underlying problem with AOSP.

I pretty much agree with all that, though on the whales: one gay scientist guy insists they’re smarter and more emotionally sophisticated than humans because the computer screen says so, but point 1 (smarter) has already been disproven by the fact that the retard whales keep falling for the same 1700’s tier irl whale hunting tricks over and over and point 2 (more emotionally sophisticated) is disproven by his very statement, since liking the whales but participating in hunting them is a display of more complicated emotions than the whales are ever shown to have (they like their friends and family and don’t like it when they die. Wow, very sophisticated.) And the one whale that’s not a pacifist retard is a badass who trounces all his enemies with style. I’m not sure what message Cameron wanted to make but the message I received was that pacifism is for gay retards and killing your enemies is really cool, which I found quite agreeable.
