It's hard to believe that a professional would do this to a minor.

Imagine believing that if you don't transition then you will end your own life too. That there is no third option where you can learn to cope with your situation and suicidal ideation while you process and decide where to go from there. That is a lot of pressure to put on a child.

I remember posting online that I was growing hair all over my body because I was so underweight that I couldn't regulate my own body temperature. An adult told me that this was a sign that my body was fighting to be a boy. I was told to go find a letter of recommendation and that this would unlock all of my treatment and I could get whatever I needed to look different fast."

@BigTLarrity She didn’t JUST divorce him because of that. She had been hooking up with a dude when he was away, and felt guilted into marrying him on his return when he was a ‘hometown hero’. Of course, she was the victim in all this, so she started to feel ‘trapped’ and decided after putting in some time w/ her she ‘deserved’ to go and hook up with her BF again.
