Searx, the meta search engine I've been enjoying has decided to purge its instances and the solution is to make users download an utility that runs on the CLI to provide instances.
This seems clumsy and requires extra steps for the user in regards to finding an instance or simply hoping to another one. Why would anyone do this??
I posit this solution - static page provided by ipfs instead of http that provides an active list of all searx and searxng instances by dumping the available instances list every few moments.
Dropping this idea here, will probably get to work on it at home later. This is a tiny pain in the ass that I'm all up in a coniption about at the moment.
