All this proves now is that Samus wins popularity contests by default. She has universal appeal. I thought the fediverse could throw a real challenge at her because she always wins normie polls against normie opponents, and the denizens of the fediverse are connoisseurs of vidya women.
But if there is no one who can beat her what's the point? It just sucks the fun out of it for me, because if it isn't competitive it feels pointless, the result was determined as soon as Samus was entered. And I voted for Samus in one or two of the leadup polls.

@ChristiJunior Samus is iconic and cool but Tamamo is one of gamings best wives. There is simply no personality there. If you marry Samus you marry at best a concept expanded by fanfic.
If you marry Tamamo you know what you are getting because she is explicitly a wife and one of the best and most devoted, with the exception of some really complicated things that happened several hundred years ago which she would not want us to get into right now.
It would be unfair to call Samus a character design or a glorified gacha char like one could 2B (or arguably Ryza but for Ryza it would be mean as nobody played her game but she clearly had a personality in those.) Samus is a gaming icon for a reason and has earned a bit better than that designation but the difference between her and Foxwife is still the same in spirit between Foxwife and 2B. But at least Samus is competent and actually succeeds in her games

There trully seems to be a problem with intellectuals, where they are dragged away from being effective by their own desire to explore bullshit.
Peterson is a truly smart man. Whenever he was actually thrown to the lions, his comebacks were not only smart, but did cut deep into the philosophical core of his oponents.
But, give him unlimited money, and what does he do with his life? He spends it talking to other rich guys who agree with him on 99 percent, so he can further rafine the most meaningless of details.
