Why do people keep on saying shit like: "it's time to move on from gamergate"

It makes no sense to me, since the entire event got triggered by the literally same woke mentality, that is now ruling half the world. As far, as I can tell, culture war and gamergate are the same term.

So, when I see lefties complain about gamergate, I see them at least accept the painful fact, that the culture war exists. And even that is more, then they are willing to admit most of the time.
