The sad part is, that Destiny doesn't seem to even begin to gasp the depth of this error. This was an open declaration of war towards a civilized discourse. They "killed the science" with that single moment.

I see a lot of people cheering for the "you have to verify your age to look at porn" bill as some victory, and I can almost get why it seems so well-intended on the surface.
Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is a lot can go wrong when you let a third party handle your PII (necessary to make sure that you're "of age" for such things) but also it sets a very WEF-y and very dangerous precedent — it sets a step for the online ID thing, and nope, that's not going to fly at all.
