I'm seeing a lot of White people quietly being radicalized by the ongoing riots and anti-White cultural revolution - and I know from watching anime exactly what eventually happens when you keep tormenting a nice person in possession of great latent powers.

@Moon it's a shame to see all these well-meaning attempts to create "alternative platforms without the censorship" falling into the same holes that caused the mainstream platforms to become censorious. When they become censorious they lose their competitive edge and become "Twitter but a different echo chamber" or "YouTube but smaller", and then they silo and wither away.

They don't seem to understand that what makes a platform great is decentralization. They centralize power, feel the need to "take a side" on issues instead of being hands-off, and become the very thing they fled, but smaller.

Amusingly, now that I think about it, it's similar to CHAZ. No police => Our police => Our corrupt brutal police => Worse than regular police

With Parler, the phone number / ID thing was an instant deal-breaker for me and I imagine most libertarians. How can that make anything but a silo?

Fedi is the closest I know of to a good solution for the microblogging medium.
