All in all, a solid art style will trump any dumb realism that will age like milk
Hell, how fast could they make a Sonic Adventure 2 (which still looks pretty great today) game with similar graphics, how fast could they make it today? *shrug*
But no, as with Sonic 06, they had to go the graphics route. Have you seen Eggman's gloves in the cutscenes? Did they spend an entire month making these goddamn gloves?
