There's real potential behind mass conservative refusal to comply with the vax mandate.

The fact is that demographic skews heavily toward the 55+ age group with many on the edge of retirement. A major concern only talked about in hushed tones for the past decade is that business leaders have no idea what to do when the working knowledge possessed by the boomers leaves the labor pool. Every millennial is well aware of the "these fucking boomers refuse to retire and pass their high paying positions on to the younger generations" issue but the honest truth is that the younger generations just can't do a lot of the jobs that will be vacated by retiring boomers.

So you have a natural 2 pronged approach forming. The first and most guaranteed effect is that 63 year old goatee, sunglasses, rants-in-pickup-truck boomerman can just say "fuck it" and retire early. You also have to realize that just about every woman over the age of 55 has no reason to work beyond disposable income. Once the kids are out of the house and the house is mostly paid for, a single income is more than sustainable. If even ~1% of the population stops working due to this the labor crisis turns into labor Chernobyl.

The 2nd prong is that boomers are either in critically important roles or are the last remaining whites in the labor pool willing to work important jobs for peanuts. I can't even begin to explain just how much of our industrial society operates on the working knowledge contained only within the minds of 50+ year old white guys that will never be passed down. If they leave, it will be chaos. There's also the fact that practically all the reserve troops shitty businesses like gas stations and restaurants have been able to call up are lower class boomers. Go into any janky local gas station chain and there will be a 60 year old lady who's chain smoked Marlboro Lights since she was 12 behind the counter because $16/hr seems like a fortune to someone who was used to making $9/hr at Walmart before. If these people quit, it's over for businesses.
