@Loukas What makes you think "journalists," in particular, are entitled to this, as opposed to anybody else? And we all know that you think that a "journalist" is anointed role; I can't just become a "journalist" out of the blue by starting my own publication. No, only some very special publications get to anoint "journalists."

You want "journalists" to be a special caste. A kind of person who's entitled to more than anybody else. To you, "democracy" isn't rule by the people and for the people, it's rule by "journalists" and for "journalists." When you speak about Our Democracy, normal people aren't necessarily included in that. Only those who the "journalists" approve of are. You think your newspapers and your TV news stations and your blogs are the books of life and of death.

And we know this is how you think of "journalists" because this is how you write of "journalists" as opposed to anybody else. Twitter is a private company and can do what is wants, until "journalists" get shut up as opposed to some pleb who has to work for a living.

@istvan @pietkuip @ChristiJunior

You no longer fully own the movie you bought, your next car will not work 100% even though you bought it if you don't keep paying, your smartphone is not fully yours since you are not free to repair it even though you own it, your home devices "betray you" by sharing data with companies even though you have welcomed them into your home...

I'm sick to death of this technological modernity.

@moffintosh @moffintosh
>government regulation of a industry reduces competition and benefits the established players
>socially engineered vision of scarcity allows the price to go up
>all of these emerging green projects are funded by conventional energy companies and are designed to uphold their growth

but hey just assume everything that the political and economic elite does is random and unplanned because thinking otherwise is conspiracy theory

I hate that Wine is called Wine, because every time I do a search on how to get a niche game running, Bing thinks I'm an alcoholic.

Mastodon není na prodej :) "Rochko told the Financial Times he had received offers from more than five US-based investors to invest 'hundreds of thousands of dollars' in backing the product, following its fast growth. But he said the platform’s non-profit status was 'untouchable', adding that Mastodon’s independence and the choice of moderation styles across its servers were part of its attraction."
