this reminds me a old days of Japanese pirate scene in early 2000.
we didn't have newsgroup or napster so we used free web hosting services such as geocities, compress any illegal copies into RAR or ZIP and split to 100〜1000 noise image files and uploaded to the FTP server of free web hosting company.
those were effective disguises and for wannabe kids too, it was too complicated for them.
