It's effort to make them, for a start: you need to keep track of every alt and their login details (unless you use the same password for all of them like some form of amoeba). Not to mention following everyone on your list and putting out a few shitposts before never using it again.
There's no reason for having them aside from pinging a random assortment of your follows every other day, which a good old-fashioned hellthread could do with much higher potency and effectiveness.
