Their government is too gigantic for the measly protests they got going on so far. I don't think it's impossible to take down the CCP with riots and protests, but they would need to be on scales we've never seen in history and that we could scarcely comprehend.
What we'll see now is Chinese people release some of their frustration, the government cracking down on liberties even harder, with a much enlarged Big Brother monitoring system, and the people will once again comply.
It's likely that these protests are counterproductive to the end goal of freeing China, as they're just releasing a bit of steam, instead of allowing things to blow up (which is what is needed to destroy the CCP).

They could do it without guns too. It's just gonna take a LOT more bloodshed. There are over 1 billion Chinese people. There are only so many bullets a soldier can fire until he is overwhelmed by a mob looking to claw at him to death.
Basically you'd need a populace desperate enough to act like complete primal savages, akin to Left 4 Dead zombies, if need be, to overtake whatever the government can throw at them.

I wonder if they even have any understanding of the word.
I'm thinking back on some horrifying interviews with North Korea escapees, where they explained they don't even understand the word "love". The only thing they associate "love" with is the "dear leader".

lol, no. It'd be surprised if this thing last until the New Year.
