Yes.

I wasn't even an adult yet when I realized children shouldn't get access to internet connected devices, but now I see adults all around me giving tablets and smartphones to children barely able to read.

Mine didn't. I think I've learned every possible life lesson from TV and entertainment media, back when it was actually decent. But your point still stands that the generations that were clueless about the internet still gave out better advice than the generations that understand or grew up with the internet.
