Yeah, I noticed a while back that Steam is able to keep track of when a save wasn't properly uploaded to their cloud, and notify you when you switch systems.

Linux development still depending so much on Linus Torvalds' leadership scares me, even more than what Microsoft is doing with Windows.

With the current political environment, when Linus finally retires (or dies), if he's replacement isn't basically a clone of Torvalds himself, Linux is ripe for a potential collapse.

When NASA chose to use Linux and ffmpeg on the latest Mars mission, the open source community celebrated.

So here's something that came to my mind. If we found out the US military used Linux, or some other popular open source project, in the workings of the next-gen weapon of war, something that surpasses nukes in destruction ability, how would the community react?

Personally I think Qatar has bigger issues than the gay shit, and I think FIFA should have never approved this thing in the first place. But wearing a T-shirt in Qatar is not the solution.

First thing should have been refusing to watch this year's cup. Then pester FIFA over their hypocrisy of fighting against bigotry and for human rights, but choosing Qatar as a location to host the World Cup. Then never actually find ways to deal with Qatar's slavery problem, cause this thing is old as fuck (I alone have known about this for over a decade) and no one has even moved a finger to do anything.
