He makes a good point. "Open world" has been butchered as a genre by too many games. I'd call them "linear in a big arena" or something like that.
I'm Tired of Open World Games

I gather you failed successfully.
@LukeAlmighty
I'll be honest... I'd rather hear people say "I'll go full taliban" than "I'll go full BLM".
@GNUxeava
IIRC they had an initiative at some point, where they focused on what they called "15 minutes bugs", named such cause they were fairly easy to fix, needing 15 minutes of work on average. So they dedicated a lot of precious time on countless of these small bugs, instead of fancy features.
Gnome on the other hand... there really isn't anything I'm hearing from that side that I like or am impressed with. I hear more praise about xfce.
I was introduced to Linux through Gnome 2, but I fell in love when I found KDE Plasma.
@caskd @Kagekokoro @mario
Now I'm curious to see how that thread developed.
@beardalaxy
That was the same mistake I made back in the day. No, it doesn't have the same vibe as HL1. I don't know of any game that does. Not even Black Mesa. But I've learned to love the Source games as their own vibe.
She's still very bad with explosives, ladders and ramps are her sworn enemies, and she just figured out the SMG has an alt fire towards the end of Ravenholm.
She's not good with shooters, but she's still decent with the puzzles, and she really likes using the gravity gun.
@sjw
I'll treat her to my trick, if you know what I mean.
@sjw
Is that Sailor Jupiter?
And she just learned not to crowbar a red barrel.
Honestly, she's not half bad. She seems to have a decent intuition for Valve puzzles. A bit of difficulty with more advanced movement, and she'd rather crowbar you to death than use her pistol (cause her aiming is bad), but she reminds me a lot of my first playthrough of HL2.
@hoamgriffon
I have no idea. She had an entire chat to teach her. I'll see. I've started watching the vod now. She's considering trying HL1 too. I'm in love...

Oh hi.
The Alyx Vance must go this way anyway.
