YouTube must have had a stroke.

Contrary to popular opinion of some, Romania is not Hungary. I'm not hungarian nor do I speak the language. The only way I even figured out this is likely in hungarian, is cause the word "magyar" in there.

@LaoBan
No, it seems to be down to my ISP.
I've tested through speedtest.net on various international servers. And for cases where speedtest.net returned <1Mbps on cable, the same server got good speeds on my phone network.

I just can't really figure out what could be the issue, to where some servers can get 200-500Mbps, but others in the same country <1Mbps. I literally got a case where London gives me either 500Mbps or 0.6Mbps from one test server to another.

Have they investigated the effects of paranoia of seeing racism in everything around you, because a social studies "expert" told you "everything is sexist, everything is racist, and you have to point it all out"? Surely that kind of delusional paranoia must have an effect on the brain, right?

Internet is very weird for me right now.
International download speeds seem to be very inconsistent. I'm either getting my full contract speed (usually to EU capitals) or less than 1Mbps to anything else.
At the same time upload speed is just fine everywhere around the world.

The result seems to be that fedi has reached a record low loading speed for me.

@yangwenli
I see. I wasn't aware Germans are illiterate and can't read a lotta text.

@yangwenli
Stupid pole deserves stupid answer.
Anyone racist enough to be a threat to society won't answer truthfully, even here.
And anyone who answers "yes" here, is still a respectful enough member of society that he won't go around lynching black people, or jews, or whatever you're interested in, no matter how edgy he wants to be online by saying "niggger" and "kike" all the time.
So all you're gonna get is useless "data" of people who are a bit ticked off that their life isn't perfect, and haven't found a better thing to blame it on.

@diresock
I can't tell what he tried to carve out of spam... which I guess just adds to the analogy.

>"Dad, I'm gay."
>"Hi Gay, I'm Dad."
I really hope somewhere, at some time in history, that interaction took place.

@mangeurdenuage
Don't know why, but I expected this was the life story of a Twitter employee.

@PinochetsCommieCopter
It's interesting that right after Musk did it, suddenly the other big tech had the guts to fire off people too. I'm honestly wondering if the woke employees actually managed to hold the companies hostage. And it took someone to lead by example to prove that those worthless waste of space could actually be fired with minimal or no negative repercussions.

@mushroom_soup
Do that excuse feminists pull, that you spent time showing some love to yourself, or however they phrase it.

Here, have a rainbow kitty to see you through these trying times
