A PC game not working on an non-boot drive is one thing, but it is strange that I have had two Japanese games not be able to run if there was a Japanese character in the file path.

@beardalaxy This reminds me of when something mentioned in the topic of discussion can be linked to slavery or something and they feel the need to be like "wow, yikes, by the way guys slavery was bad" it's breaks any interest I have in that so much, those people have this constant paranoia of "can this thing be linked to something that everyone knows was bad and do I have to bulwark myself against anyone who might think I support it?" It throws their entire face of sincerity away.
