Decompilation of Star Fox 64 is 76% done 👀

I don't even care about a PC port (although it would be nice). I just want to see ANY hacking tools available for the game. The only notable Star Fox 64 mods have been ones for Ocarina of Time lol. I'd love for my favorite game to have custom levels. I imagine that people who really enjoy Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time have a heyday with all the cool mods people make for that... I can only hope SF64 gets anywhere close to the same treatment!

I guess if you have any knowledge of decompilation or want to look into it, here is the github!

@beardalaxy I'm pretty sure the reason why there aren't any Star Fox 64 ROM hacks is due to the voice acting and people not knowing how to inject voice clips with whatever audio compression the game uses.

@berkberkman @xianc78 just in case you don't know how these things work, a pc port isn't going to happen immediately. someone else with porting knowledge will need to come in and port it. then stuff like frame interpolation can happen :)

fwiw you can already run the game without slowdown on emulator by overclocking, but yeah it is still locked to 30 max.

@beardalaxy @xianc78 An immense amount of time and effort is done with decompilation overall, so I can easily wait much longer for a refined PC port. It can't be impossible to make an old N64 game to run smoothly on a PC, even at 30fps, right?

@berkberkman @xianc78 yeah like i said, just play it in pj64 and overclock the emulated n64 and you should avoid slowdown.

i think the wii virtual console version doesn't lag either, but it has some other issues that can't really be fixed.
