even if he doesn't believe that statement himself and is doing it just to point out hypocrisy or something, he's throwing other people under the bus to try and get his way.

@qwerty i set up an instance with fedi express and it put all of my shit in weird directories. i had to update it manually and go on a hunt through the files to see where the correct folders were instead of just being able to use terminal to easily update. then when i tried to do an update later through fedi express it borked the whole instance.

it's a good service to get you into it, but i don't know how great it is for a long term solution or if you want to stay updated on your instance software. if you have the technical know-how, it is much better to figure out how to do it yourself.
