this is a reminder that the steam awards are going on now and we have the chance to do something really funny

okay it's not nearly as bad, obviously, but tears of the kingdom's story reminds me of legend of korra and last of us 2 with how little respect it seems to have for the series. it's clear nintendo's intention is to drive away from it completely and cater only to the new, massive general audience that breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom has garnered. it even seems like it's done a little bit in bad faith, because they make call backs to things from the old games and then bastardize them.
