the average person is actually too stupid to legitimately understand the epstein files

also, maybe people like haven't been around on the internet for very long or just haven't been alive for long enough, but sending emails to just casually talk to people in 2010 was still pretty damn common. it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if a 57 year old dude was emailing his brother about a hot dog article that somebody had sent him.

@yockeypuck the wayfair thing was debunked. here's my post about it from earlier today: gameliberty.club/@beardalaxy/1

there's a twitter thread in the replies too.

unless you want to go really ham on the conspiracy theories and say that they're all in on it and those aren't the real kids or some shit.

the average person is actually too stupid to legitimately understand the epstein files

everyone knows epstein was a bad guy, so they immediately assume that literally anything in those emails has to be related to something bad. people are making massive leaps in logic to come to conclusions that are likely far worse than what is actually being displayed.

epstein is bad, obviously, we all know that, but the thing about villains in real life is that they are still people. epstein didn't have a mountain with a massive skull carved into it that exuded dark energy that could only be dispelled by he-man or some shit.

take example 1, for instance. i'm seeing people say that "140 - coney island" in this email is code for a 14 year old boy that epstein and his brother are talking about. no, it's literally just them talking about the invention of hot dogs on coney island 140 years ago. who the fuck knows why, but that's what it is. the link isn't some weird sinister shit, it's just a local news website that is still running to this day. unfortunately that specific article isn't on the wayback machine, but i'm pretty sure it's talking about hot dogs and coney island.

then you have example 2, where people see =9 and see it as referring to a 9 year old. if they have seen the other files, they'll know that the = sign shows up a lot as a substitute for other letters and numbers at random, likely due to some weird formatting error. this exact email is present in another location in the files with the formatting intact to show it is a 19 year old being talked about: justice.gov/epstein/files/Data

i'm beginning to wonder if these files really SHOULDN'T have been released. there's so much slop that can be so easily misinterpreted while there are other problems in the US and in the world in general that are more immediate threats to a massive amount of people. it all seems like a distraction and a lot of political theater. it'd be better if the DOJ could actually hunt these people down, charge them, and release the relevant documents for those cases to the public instead of just uncovering literally everything epstein ever did online.

@alexmussolini88 the biggest difference is that trap characters still know they are boys

Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Star-Crossed World Review (8.5/10)

To get this out of the way first and foremost, the Switch 2 upgrades are quite nice to have in this game. The original only runs at 30 FPS in actual gameplay, and distant objects render at 15 FPS. It was nice to have the upgrade to 60 FPS not only for the immediate surroundings, but that half-rate for distant stuff is also increased to 30 FPS and the distance is increased. I love this game a lot but that was the one thing I really had a problem with.

I haven't 100% completed this yet, but I got through the main story and got the majority of the collectibles.

The additions were quite good, but nothing really insane. For $20, I got I think five hours or so which I'm totally content with. That's not everything on offer either, because I still could do another run of each stage to get the stuff I missed, and there is also an extra challenge mode which I'm sure is going to take me a while to get through as well.

Unfortunately, only one boss battle was added. There are some new transformations that are quite fun, but I wish I got to use them a little bit more. So yeah, nothing too crazy, but it is still more of the same game that I found really fun. There isn't anything necessarily wrong with this expansion.

If you have the opportunity to play this, definitely give it a shot! I had a good time with it.

@beardalaxy I always love the line "He's a French pedophile jew, but I repeat myself".

does anybody actually believe france cares about child exploitation

@PanzerTan fuck that kid in elementary school that called my brother gay and ended up being gay himself

@inTrax the fact I didn't even have to look it up to intrinsically know it was something like that going on. Like how tf are you supposed to give a gender to a hamburger mii

It should be noted that the Japanese version of the direct showed "その他" instead which translates to "other" or "the rest" and not some made up term (likely used for aliens and such). It also did not use a brown example Mii.

Hell ye
Once I hit 365 I think that's when I'll start my animal crossing playthrough. Maybe earlier if I feel like it, but then at the latest.

@PurpCat @SuperSnekFriend also, random sidenote...

there was a pretty notable march in salt lake city against the mormon church because of sus things surrounding child exploitation, and it got basically swept under the rug because of all the wayfair stuff. the amount of mormon moms on facebook excusing the church's actions and then jumping on the wayfair conspiracy with the hashtag really proved to me that most people do not care about what is actually happening, they only care about what they *want* to be happening. probably because they like drama and like being upset at shit, but only as long as it doesn't directly go against their personal beliefs.
