i wasn't surprised at all that PSO2 worked. i remember running this game in portrait mode several years ago and it was like "okay sure go for it man."

the HUD is totally wack but i know you can adjust some of it at least. just never bothered trying.

also the FOV can't be adjusted, which is really dumb. you can only change camera zoom and there are only 5 settings. the max one is just barely at my "playable" range lol. there used to be a mod that let you change the FOV but they changed their anti-cheat so it doesn't work anymore.

funny enough, tetris effect actually worked remarkably well. the environment gets rendered across every monitor. it looks really nice, maybe i can grab a photo of that at some point.

xf extreme formula will work, but only in windowed mode and the HUD also isn't centered. i'm loving experimenting with this hahaha

i'll probably have to download a mod to get the HUD to center on the screen, the setting is only really supposed to be for ultrawides so it gets cut off a little bit
