I'm pretty peeved right now. Easily the worst part about TotK is how nothing persists with your save file. I killed FOUR FUCKING GLOOM LYNELS and died to the 5th one, and when I reloaded the save it put me back at the 5th one with all of the loot from the ones I had killed completely gone. I'm gonna dupe the fuck out of the shit I did get because that's gay as hell. Oh but I did get something! Majora's Mask! Wow! It has 1 armor and "certain enemies" can't see me. Woop dee doo. I burned through all of my arrows, shields, and weapons for that fight.

Oh yeah and if I ran away to prepare more stuff I would just get sniped with arrows from the sky. So I practically had to pause buffer my way through all the menus in order to get everything perfect.

What a fucking headache for such a tiny reward. Shit took me an entire hour.

This is partly why I can't play Dark Souls lol, beating bosses I get stuck on never feels very satisfying, it just feels like I've gone through a slog and burned through a bunch of resources doing it.

it seems that a lot of people share these complaints over on the steam discussion board and the community manager is forwarding it all to the devs, so hopefully they can be addressed by the time the game fully releases.

so as far as demos go that was short as shit and didn't really provide much other than a small little engine preview. no gameplay other than walking around and it was only like 5 minutes. and this thing was 18gb for some reason, which i'm guessing is the full size of the actual game.

for being an engine preview, i certainly wasn't impressed. there was stutter every time you walked into a new room or a new entity appeared on screen, and none of the visual settings could actually be turned off, only lowered in quality. that means that three of my most hated "features," being lens flare/screen space reflections/motion blur, are impossible to get rid of. the anti aliasing here is also horrendous at every quality setting, with very bad and noticeable ghosting artifacts any time something moves.

stay away from this one until those things are ironed out. if they are ever ironed out.

it would be cool to learn how to do AI covers. i want to get characters doing covers of my songs lol, think it would be funny.

almost done with this other side quest i've been working on for a couple days. i'm kind of going overboard with it but i think it's really cool. i picked this quest to do next specifically because i like the idea of it and wanted to spice things up a bit.

it was originally going to be "solve this puzzle and then beat this boss battle" but now it's "solve this puzzle, solve another puzzle with optional treasure, then beat this boss battle." i've had to make some sprite edits for it too.

the kanna figure i pre-ordered from ami-ami is now released but it hasn't had me pay for it yet... little worried i'm not going to get it o.0

can't believe i didn't notice this before but this song is 100% about a constantly negative news cycle that in return negatively affects mental health using school shootings as an example.
