There's a little black spot on the sun today...

I've been watching a lot of horror stuff lately and in a roundabout way it has been increasing my motivation for game dev on God's Disdain.

The next game I'm making is a horror game. The story, puzzles, and all of the maps have been designed on paper for years now. All of the design documents are there and all it needs is to be actually programmed, along with the art and music of course. It will be linear and much easier to develop than God's Disdain (which goes for all of my future projects, I never want to spend this long making a game again).

I really want to actually start working on this game. You have no idea. Any time I watch or play anything even remotely horror oriented I want to start development on it. I can't though, because I would be abandoning a project 8 years in the making.

So, I'll keep chipping away at God's Disdain and hope I can get it done soon. Don't get me wrong, I love this game and the world I've created, all the characters, etc. but it is getting so tiring. I just want it to be done so I can move on.

Shattered Memories was actually my first Silent Hill game.

I wasn't allowed to play Mature games yet but I had a PSP, and you know those things are infamous for being hackable.

So I managed to find a way to play Shattered Memories. I got pretty hooked, playing it even on camping trips (not a good idea).

It's not as good as 1-3 are (I still haven't played 4) but it's still a good game and a really interesting take on the story.

It wasn't until some years later that I'd play the Wii version, being the only Wii game I've ever played that actually used the speaker on the controller in a cool way.
